Now, another rugged device is about to join the lineup, and it carries the name Tank 4 Pro.

The Tank 4 Pro will apparently be equipped with a projector, which could play videos on a projection screen, but at a rather low brightness. This feature is mostly suitable for tents and other outdoor scenarios. Officially, the built-in projector offers 100 lumens and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

The phone also has a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with 3200 x 1440 pixels and 120Hz. Furthermore, the Tank 4 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra, which is a quite powerful SoC with 5G support. In addition, there are 16GB RAM and 512GB of mass storage. The latter can be expanded via microSD, and thanks to three available card slots, users don’t have to choose between dual-SIM and storage expansion.

The battery has an enormous capacity of 11,600mAh, but with dimensions of approximately 3.4 x 5.8 x 0.9 inches and a weight of around 1.17 lbs, the handset is also very heavy and bulky. A night vision camera and a dedicated LED are onboard as well. Unihertz, or 8849, has yet to reveal an exact launch date and official list price, but the Tank 4 Pro is expected to hit the market this summer.

The Tank 4 Pro is a new smartphone with a projector (Image source: Unihertz)

The product name “Tank” might sound familiar to some readers, as Unihertz has already released several smartphones under this moniker via its sub-brand 8849.
